Pokémon Red and Pokémon Blue introduce legions of gamers to the world of Kanto, where the likes of Charmander, Pikachu, and Mewtwo were first discovered. Through exciting exploration, battles, and trades, Trainers are able to access 150 Pokémon. Did you know: These games were first released in Japan in 1996 as Pocket Monsters Red and Pocket Monsters Green, with the special edition Pocket Monsters Blue being released in Japan later that same year. The games were later released as Pokémon Red and Pokémon Blue in North America and Australia in 1998 and Europe in 1999. Pokémon Red and Pokémon Blue combined the content of the Red/Green/Blue versions for the release outside of Japan.
