Pokémon Ranger is a unique role-playing game where the player controls a Pokémon Ranger in the Fiore region and uses a "capture styler" to capture Pokémon temporarily. The game has 10 main missions with three sub-missions, with the only Pokémon permanently with the player being Minun or Plusle. The styler has an energy bar and can be recharged at a ranger base. Temporarily caught Pokémon can be used for tasks, puzzles, or to enhance the styler's loop line.
