Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII is an action RPG and prequel to the 1997 game Final Fantasy VII. It follows Zack Fair, a young SOLDIER operative tasked with finding the missing Genesis Rhapsodos. During his search, Zack uncovers Genesis' origins, Project G, and its links to high-ranking SOLDIERs Sephiroth and Angeal Hewley. The storyline spans the Shinra-Wutai war and events in Nibelheim, ending just before the start of Final Fantasy VII.
