Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe is a fighting video game, it is a crossover between Mortal Kombat and the DC Universe, and is the eighth main installment in the Mortal Kombat franchise. The game follows Raiden, Earthrealm's god of thunder, and Superman, Metropolis' defender, repelling invasions from both their worlds. An attack by Raiden and Superman causes the merging of Shao Kahn and Darkseid, creating Dark Kahn. This merges the two universes, causing power fluctuations between characters, and ultimately leading to the destruction of both.
